Tours

We have a selection of ways you can enjoy the Bonegilla Migrant Experience from pre-booked guided group tours, self guided tours including the Suitcase Trail tour, to a simple walk around the site.

All tours depart from the Welcome Centre.

For more information on the tours, or to make a booking, contact the Bonegilla Migrant Experience Welcome Centre.

Group travel

Pre-book a hosted tour with an experienced guide, who will answer your questions, and lead you through the buildings and exhibitions. Allow at least one hour for your visit.

Cost: $11 per adult and $9 for children under 16. Minimum fee for groups of 15 or less is $155.

Self-guided tour

Collect a self-guided tour map to explore the buildings and site.

Guided tour

If visiting during the Victorian and NSW school holidays in Winter you can join our 11am guided tour and in Spring, Summer or Autumn join either an 11am or 2pm guided tour (no bookings required).

Cost: $11 per adult, school age children $9. Family $25.

Children’s tour

If you’re visiting with your children, we recommend you utilise the Suitcase Trail

Collect one of our tablets from the Welcome Centre and let them roam the site hunting for the suitcases full of treasures while learning about life at the centre.

A paper version is also available from the Welcome Centre.

School tours

Students can immerse themselves in the rich and varied history of the site and gain an insight into those who came through, what they encountered, and the contribution they made in building Australia.

For more information regarding school tours and bookings visit the education page.
