Meet Lois.
Lois is a long-time volunteer with Bonegilla Migrant Experience (BME) and has shared some of her memories of her time volunteering.
BME holds a special place in her heart.
The site, a former migrant camp, was the first place Lois called home in Australia.
She arrived with her husband and two young children by bus from Sydney in 1967.
Lois was born in New Zealand in 1943 and lived there until she was 20 years old.
After marrying a Swiss, she moved to Switzerland for abour seven years before the family decided to migrate to Australia.
